National Sailing Scheme

This is an excellent introduction to sailing, and will give you the skills you need to get afloat under supervision. You will develop a basic understanding of boat handling and learn some background knowledge.

What will I be able to do at the end of this course?

• Crew effectively
• Help rig a boat
• Understand effects of basic boat controls
• Understand basic sailing manoeuvres
• Basic knowledge of the 'rules of the road' (river!)
• How to tie essential knots
• Understand actions to be taken for man overboard recovery

Tuition is provided by trained RYA Instructors using appropriate supervision ratios and is suitable for all ages.

Cost: £195

To achieve independent sailing why not combine this course with Level 2, over 4 days. Cost £380
