This brand new course provides a link between level 2 and the more advanced courses. It is designed to consolidate your sailing skills, develop greater confidence in techniques, and prepare you to progress to further modules.

This can be combined with a Level 2 or Seamanship Course over 4 days.

What will I be able to do at the end of this course?

• Rig according to weather condition, reef, and selecting appropriate clothing and equipment
• Develop the five sailing essentials: sail trim, effective steering, boat balance and trim, keel configuration
• Man overboard recovery
• Ropework: Using knots confidently and effectively
• Improve mooring skills
• Better awareness of the rules of the road (river!)
• Manoeuvring under power

Tuition is provided by trained RYA Instructors using appropriate supervision ratios and is suitable for all ages.

Previous Experience required: RYA Level 2 or equivalent experience
