RYA Courses

National Sailing Scheme

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses provide recognised qualifications and quality training from beginner to advanced levels. Courses are designed to be active, fun and safe learning experiences.

Most courses are run over 2 days; alternatively they can be linked together or taken as separate modules tailored to meet your availability. Sailing courses are run on small yachts or keel boats; powerboat courses on a displacement cabin cruiser or a planing dory.

Whilst most of the course will focus on practical boat handling skills, there is also some theory to be covered. The boats provide a comfortable base for both elements. Enjoy theory over a cup of tea!
